Steely Dan - Don't Take Me Alive

Hey all,
Zendriveseven did such a nice job on the intro solo lesson- I wanted to put up the balance of the tune. There are some cool chords and triads in this as well as some nice lead breaks. Also the ending run is excellent. Larry Carlton at his absolute best IMHO. There's only one minor part in the middle that I don't cover here but other than that you now have 98% of the tune explained.

The tone is a Fender Tweed Deluxe amp simulator on my XT and the middle single coil pickup on the LUKE. I have the drive setting tweaked to a spot where if you play softly with your pick it will come out mostly clean. If you dig in harder on the notes with your picking technique it will drive it and distort it a bit. It's a really good setting to find on your amp. Larry would try to find this setting on any amp he played back in the day.
